Our roadmap
We want trading to work as a contest without anyone having to risk their savings for it. This page records where we stand and what is still open.

- Real-money operation
- Deposits and withdrawals with identity verification
- Safeguards against collusion and multiple accounts
The question of real money
We get asked this regularly, so we answer it openly. A real-money operation is conceivable, but it is not a switch you flip. As soon as stakes are real money, a legal framework applies that must be settled before anyone deposits.
That includes how the offering itself is classified, whether a licence is required, requirements for identity verification and anti-money-laundering, youth protection, and the tax treatment of winnings. These points cannot be decided by how the software is written, only with professional advice and the responsible authorities.
Until that is settled, the platform runs exclusively on virtual money. We will announce it here if that changes, and will not switch quietly.
- No deposits possible
- No withdrawals possible
- No payment details stored
- Chips have no monetary value
- No trading of real assets
Where this is going
Trading as a sport, with real stakes on the horizon. Here is where RingSide is headed, said plainly, without the hype.
Fight, earn your Purse
Real-money rounds earn a Purse for placing, winning and staying active. The Purse is a reward balance, not a coin, with no promised cash value.
Real money, non-custodial
When real-money rounds open, you play in USDC from your own wallet (the USDT you see today is only the price pair for the play-money version). RingSide never holds your funds. We only take a small rake on each pot.
The Purse feeds the token
The plan is that at a later token launch, the Purse converts into the RingSide token. Whether and how is a reviewed decision.
Toward our own Layer 1
The long-term goal is our own Layer 1 that the token could migrate to. It is a direction we are building toward, not a promise.
The Purse is a reward balance, not a financial instrument. Nothing here is an offer, investment advice, or a promise of returns. Real-money play, token issuance, and any future Layer 1 depend on regulatory review and are not available everywhere.
Have your say
The platform is young and we build it along what people actually use. If something is missing, unclear or broken, we want to know. Write to contact@ringsidetrading.com or find us on Discord.
