Where TradingView fits better
If you want to test a strategy on stocks, forex or futures in the same chart you already use, TradingView Paper Trading is hard to beat. It supports almost every asset class on the platform, the balance is adjustable, and a reset wipes the slate when you want to start over. It is practice, on your terms, with no one watching.
Where RingSide fits better
The same conditions for everyone
In a RingSide round nobody has a faster feed. Every trade, whether opening, adding or closing, fills at the mid price of one shared one-second snapshot, with no spread and no fees. Everyone starts with 1,000 virtual USDT, and the close is valued at the price that applied at that exact moment.
A clock and an opponent
Rounds run 1, 5 or 15 minutes, 1 or 4 hours, 1 day or 1 week, with 2, 5 or 10 players. Limit, stop and take-profit orders rest on the server and fill at the same snapshot price. If you are liquidated, you are out of the round, and if only one trader is left standing the round ends early.
A record that builds
Every result moves your Elo rating and your season return, and in the weekly league you play one 15-minute duel per day in a division of eight, with promotion for the top two and relegation for the bottom two.
Frequently asked
Is TradingView Paper Trading free?
Yes. TradingView describes it as a risk-free simulator with no fees, available globally for all users. Some chart data and tools depend on your TradingView plan, but the paper account itself is free.
Can I use TradingView charts on RingSide?
Yes. Inside a round you can switch between RingSide’s own chart with draggable order lines and the free TradingView embed widget. Drawings on the widget are not saved between page loads, because the free widget has no interface for that.
Why would I want a round I cannot reset?
Because a result you cannot reset is one you take seriously. On RingSide the round closes on the clock, the return is compared with everyone else in the round, and the result gets its own shareable page. That is the part a solo paper account cannot give you.
Does RingSide involve real money?
No. RingSide is played with chips that have no monetary value and cannot be bought, deposited or withdrawn. There is no payout in money.
Play money, no deposits, no investment advice.
RingSide chips have no monetary value and cannot be bought, deposited or withdrawn. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. What the platform is and is not stands in the risk notice.
